Could it be any Camper?

Brighton, gay capital of the UK. I spend a lot of time there, I love it. It’s so relaxed and fresh and colourful. Nothing in the world matters when you’re in Brighton. Anything goes. And I’m told you could go to a different bar everyday of the year.
However, this was not a shopping trip or a night out. This was Brighton Breeze.

If you’ve never heard of it, Brighton Breeze is a gathering of VW Campervan enthusiasts. Also there are VW Beetles and various other tents on wheels.

We arrived in Brighton around 10am and grabbed breakfast (tea and an almond croissant) from Pret and headed on down to the sea front.
The gathering takes place on Madeira Drive, underneath the promenade right along the sea front which makes for a lovely setting.

There were so many different colours and styles, it’s incredible to see how many different things can be created with the same vehicle.  There were some old rusty surfer wrecks, and some lovingly restored, some very traditional and some pimped out to the max. A fair few of them had their name written on the front too, which all happened to be in the same font….must be a camper thing…

If I had the money and the imagination, I’d have a maroon one (named ……….) with a kitchen/rehearsal/sleeping space for the boy and I. Although where I’d put his guitars and my clothes I don’t know…..

Smooth as a baby's...

I may have jumped on the bandwagon with this one.
I was doing my weekly Tesco shop and was drawn towards the make up aisle while the boy was choosing some dinner. I was actually looking for a mascara (I’d been wearing a waterproof one the previous week and due to my mind being on other things, had on more than one occasion got in the shower with my make up still on. However the Waterproof Maybelline Mascara I’d been wearing had held its on in the battle of the water and shampoo.) So I was looking for the non waterproof version of that. I couldn’t find the one I wanted (I think it’s discontinued) so figured I’d come away and do some research in to which ones people like.
That’s when it caught my eye, the bright orange packaging, the pink writing. Oh dear, that was it, I was sucked in. I had to have it. The Maybelline Baby Lips. I’d kept meaning to grab a couple in Boots, but I keep being lured in by other things and coming away having forgotten about them. Not this time.
There were only a couple on display so I was torn between Cherry Me and Pink Punch. In the end I figured I'd only end up getting the one I left next week, so why not just get them both now!
When I got in home I had to do the usual bit of making sure I took photos of it in its wrapper first then take it out and before I smoosh it about, I take a nice one of it wound up next to its lid. And that’s when I smelt it…. Oh my goodness me.
Cherry Me smells incredible, a typical lush cherry smell, Pink Punch smells like bubblegum, which has always been a favourite of mine.

Lush smells aside, it glides on really nicely. It has a decent amount of colour payoff, but not so much that you have to be conscious of it wearing unevenly. It’s got a nice amount of shiny glossiness to it. It feels nice on the lips, not sticky or gloopy. I don’t know how much they actually moisturise, but they look and feel nice so who cares! I use mine over the top of my Blistex so I can have moisture and glossy colour. Personally I prefer the cherry one to the pink one, but they're both lovely.
In Tesco they cost £3, in Boots you can pick them up for £2.99 but they also currently have them on 3 for 2, so why not pick up a couple and let me know what your favourite is.
