My True Match Miracle

I was browsing the skin care aisles in Boots for the Origins section, which I was informed in this specific store, they didn’t have. Disappointed by my lack of products in hand, I inevitably ended up in the make up section. I didn’t have anything in particular that I wanted, which is usually when I come away with a bag full of impulse purchases…

I had been watching a Youtube video that morning, in which someone had used the 'Loreal Paris True Match Foundation', so I decided to have a test and see what I thought.

I tried it on the back of my hand, it seemed ok, I tried it on my jaw line, my Fiance helped me match (geddit) the colour to my skin - 'N1 Nude Ivory'. I took it to the cashier and hey ho came home with ANOTHER foundation.

A 30 ml bottle is usually £9.99, but I managed to get mine whilst there was some sort of special offer going on across the whole of Boots so it only cost me £4.99.

When I first use a new foundation, I tend to use my hands in order to get to know how the product feels. However, with this foundation, I really didn’t like the result. It came out patchy and looked cheap.

I next tried it with the 'Real Techniques Buffing Brush', although the final result was preferable to the first try, it still looked streaky.

Suddenly I remembered that still in the Boots bag was the new 'Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge'. I figured if ever I needed a complexion miracle, it was now.

I pumped the foundation on to the back of my hand, dipped the sponge in and hoped for the best.

ET VOILA!

This was it, the flawless complexion on a small budget I’d been looking for! It blends beautifully, gives great coverage, it’s buildable and the colour is perfect for me.

I have combination skin, and this foundation works really well on my dry patches and my oily patches. It lasts all day and can be powdered for even better hold. I only use one pump for my whole face which along with the price tag makes it a great everyday work foundation.

Overall a great product.

The only thing I would change? The thin plastic lid, it’s bound to split!
